Almondsbury were formed in 1969 as Patchway North End. In 1971 the club changed its name to Patchway Old Boys and played in the Bristol Suburban League. In 1989 Almondsbury moved to its present home 'The Field' and became Almondsbury FC. In 2000-2001 Almondsbury won the Bristol Suburban League and gained promotion to the Gloucestershire County League. In 2004, they were crowned Champions of the Gloustershire County league and gained promotion to the Western Football League. For the 2006-07 season, they are members of the Western Football League Division One.
