Club Details

The club was formed originally consisting of 3 junior boys teams under the name of Blyth Town Juniors in March 1995. By the 2002-2003 season the club consisted of 22 teams including junior boys and girls side's, that season also marked the beginning of the adult side and consequently the club was re-named Blyth Town FC. The adult side entered the Northern Football Alliance Division 2 at the beginning of the 2002-2003 season which saw the club win the division by 9 points. In the summer of 2003 Blyth Town FC achieved the status of an FA Community Charter Standard Club. The adult side now play in the Northern Football Alliance Premier Division after two promotions in the clubs first three seasons.

In the 2007/2008 season the men's 1st team added winning the NFA Senior Benevolent Bowl to its list of achievements, this was thought to be the last achievement of manager Jeff Orr who decided to step down as the 1st team manager after 6 seasons. However, after a poor start to the season and the resignations of joint managers Steven Walker and Ian Johnson, Jeff returned for the remainder of the 2008/2009 season. The clubs fortunes were turned around and the team finished the season in 9th, managing to retain the NFA Senior Benevolent Bowl, becoming only the second team in history to achieve the feat. The club will commence the 2009/2010 season with a new manager in the shape of Michael Connor who has joined from Cramlington Town, he will be assisted by Jeff Orr and Doug Thorburn.
