The club was formed originally consisting of 3 junior boys teams under the name of Blyth Town Juniors in March 1995.
By the 2002-2003 season the club consisted of 22 teams including junior boys and girls side's, that season also marked the beginning of the adult side and consequently the club was re-named Blyth Town FC.
Blyth Town FC Reserves play in the Tyneside Amateur League Division One. This is the first season for the reserves in this league following on from winning Division Two last year.
