The Shoulder of Mutton FC play in the Bournemouth Hayward Sunday League Division 4.

The Shoulder of Mutton

It is the second oldest public house in Bournemouth

Run by Viv and Jamie Vernon who have been there for 15 years

The Pub arranges and runs, darts teams, football teams Saturday and Sundays, days out to the Races, off road driving, clay pidgeon shooting, motor cycle nights, quiz nights, has a resident DJ 'DJ SUMO' charity events supporting Poole Baby Care Unit and Cancer Research and sells the most expensive beer in the world !!

The pub has had a sunday football team Shoulder of Mutton Utd for many many years - they at one stage went from the bottom division to the Old first Division in sucessive seasons at which point the team dispanded and they slipped down the leagues each year. The team has now been re-built under manager Andy Dilworth and starts the 2008/09 season in Division 5.

Sponsor for Sunday side is Danny Kinsella of Kinsella Construction - based in Christchurch he is a local buisness man engaged in large scale developments predominantly of industrial units.
