The George FC, who ply their trade in the second division of the Birkenhead Houlihans Sunday League, are looking forward to their second season in 2008-09.

Having secured a respectable seventh place finish in their debut year, the side will be looking to push on and establish themselves further up the table this time round.

Once more, manager Nick Johnson and club secretary Steve Kinsella will be backed generously by Adam Crane, landlord of The George Pub, Bebington.
