Home ground: Shalford Park, Guildford, Surrey AFC Santos was founded in time for the start of 2007/2008 season. It was a coming together of two footballing masterminds - Daniel Green and Alex Peach. After a few weeks of constant searching for local sponsorship they approached the Director of Shere Ltd. Thankfully he agreed to sponsor the club through the tentative first two seasons of the clubs existance, allowing it to grow into the well oil machine it is today.
The club were accepted into the Surrey and Hants Border League Division 4 and set about the task of making their mark in their debut season. The season was full of ups and downs and by the end Santos managed to get a regular team out each week and were showing promise. Santos made it into the Prince Albert Cup final in the first season and were duely dispatched by high flying Milford Club 7-2 (Who went on to win Div 2 in 08/09). Santos finished 9th in their first season, which is respectful for any newly formed club and missed out on promotion by one place.
2008/2009 soon came around and the club had made a few good signings in the summer to strengthen the squad. Santos played well all season to finish in 6th in the league and reached yet another Prince Albert Cup final. This time they won 7-2 against league rivals EA Sports. Promotion to Division 3 was confirmed by the league commitee and Santos prepared for bigger and better things.
2009/2010 with new sponsors Dunstans Choice took the club forward to finish the season 6th in the Surrey and Hants Border League Division 3.
We are currently still in negotiations with new sponsors to enable the club to kick on next season and push for more honours!
