AFC Westfield were formed by founder member Craig Gillon in 2004. The team play in the Mansfield Chad Sunday League and home games are played at the Manor Complex in Mansfield Woodhouse. After a long drawn out search, Christopher Taylor was installed as manager and appointed Alan Wheatman as his trusty side-kick. Although the team has always played in the lower divisions, it enjoyed its most successful season in 2005/2006, gaining promotion after a 3rd place finish in the league and getting to two cup semi-finals. This season see's the team try to bounce back after relegation last year and once again regain their place amongst the elite. |
