Athletico Billericay play in the Chelmsford Invitation League. Athletico were formed in 2001 and gained promotion into the 2nd division in their first season whilst also reaching the Division 3 Cup Final.

After two seasons in Division 2 and one appearance in the Divisional Cup Final Athletico were promoted into the top league.

Athletico's first year in the top flight proved an enjoyable one, exceeding expectations and securing a respectable 7th in a tough league and their status in the top flight for the 2006/7 season.
