Athletico Wenban-Smith were formed in 1999, breaking away from Taulke Finance, having been their reserve side. Throughout the early part of the Summer of 1999 a lot of hard work and endeavour went in to finding a new sponsor. Persistance paid off and a what has now turned into a long standing deal came into being when local Timber Merchants Wenban-Smith agreed to sponsor the club. The club achieved promotion in its first season and has since won the Sportsmanship Trophy twice. We currently play in the Worthing + District Football League Second Division. |
