Club Details

The Luig play their home games at the riverside pitch in Ballinluig, one of the best pitches in Perthshire at any level.

The club has a rich history stretching well abck into the 60s and 70s with some tremendous achievements both past and present.

Ballinluig have won the North of Tay Cup on 2 occasions, the only Perthshire team to have done so. They have also won the Perthshire 1st Division Title 7 times, another record. These achievements mean that Ballinluig are the most successful club in Perthshire in terms of honours.

We recently added another fantastic record to the list by becoming the only team to have won consecutive 3rd, 2nd and 1st division titles.

More recently there have been disappointing league finishes (7th in 2005/06 and 6th in 2006/07) and relagation from the 1st Division in 2008/09.

2009/10 saw Ballinluig win the 2nd Division and promotion to the 1st Division. There was also success in the Perthshire Cup, Luigs 2nd major cup win in 2 years.

2010/11 was a season of ups and downs for Luig. A 4th place finish in the league was a good achievment on their return to the top flight. For a long time Luig challenged for the title but didn't quite have enough.
