Club Details

Balmoral United plays in the Perth and Kinross leagues. They play there home ties at Davie Park which they share with Rattray Amateurs and Blairgowrie Juniors. The team was formed in season 1991-92 by James Lorimer and Ross Moir. The juvenile team they were running at the time had no where to go or a league to play in so Balmoral were born. In the following 15 years Balmoral have became one of the top amateur footballing sides in the area, many young players have been brought through the ranks going on to bigger and better things. Sponsorship is paramount to running an amateur club. Balmoral get there name from the legendry hostelry The Balmoral Hotel in Rattray. Proprietor Jimmy Neave has sponsored the Bal for the best part of 15 years and his bar has become a spiritual home for previous and current players alike.
