Blackpool Rangers F.C. formed in 2005, but the majority of the squad had played for years for local junior side Blackpool Rangers J.F.C. They left the Juniors a year early, due to wanting a "new" challenge the players at that time had just left school and were only 16! Even older players in the team have been used to playing under the name of "Blackpool Rangers" in one form or another and their Manager John Miles has been involved with this name for over 30 years as a player, supporter, fundraiser, sponsor, manager and now secretary! Therefore it was an obvious choice to continue with the name of Blackpool Rangers!

B.R.F.C. play in the Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance Premier Division. They started out in the bottom tier of Division 3B, and won promotion in their very first season in 2005/06, then made some quality signings for the 2006/07 campaign in Division 2A. This resulted in a memorable season which saw them go unbeaten in the league, crowned League champions by March, winning the title by a massive 21 points, gaining 76 points out of 78, winning 25 and drawing 1 out of their 26 league fixtures!

A couple of impressive signings during the 2007/08 season saw the club continue their climb to the top and their amazing unbeaten B.F.S.F.A. league record finally came to an end after 2 years and 3 months, 55 league games, a record which surely will never be beaten!

Blackpool Rangers achieved their goal and their third successive promotion into the Premier Division for the 2008/09 season! They again strengthened their squad for their first taste of local top flight Sunday football which turned out to be an historic and unforgettable first season in the Premier Division WINNING the title and being crowned BLACKPOOL + FYLDE SUNDAY FOOTBALL ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS at the first time of asking. A very proud and memorable season for everybody at the Club! (SEE PICTURES). They under achieved last season, but still finished in 3rd place in the Premier Division.
