Club Details

Blackpool Rangers F.C. were formed in 2005, but the vast majority of the squad played for many years for local junior side Blackpool Rangers Junior F.C. In fact the team left Junior football a year early due to the players in the squad wanting a "new" challenge as they had been playing the same teams in youth football for the best part of 10 years ! Most of the players at that time had just left school and were aged only 16 ! Even older players in the team have been use to playing under the name of "Blackpool Rangers" in one form or another and their Manager John Miles has been involved with this name for 30 years as a player, supporter, fundraiser, sponsor, manager and now secretary ! Therefore it was an obvious choice to continue with the name of Blackpool Rangers !!!

Blackpool Rangers play in the Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance (B.F.S.F.A.) Division 1. They started out in the bottom tier of Division 3B, and after winning promotion in their very first season in 2005/06 they made some quality summer signings for their 2006/07 campaign in Division 2A. This resulted in a memorable season which saw them go unbeaten in the league, crowned League champions in March, winning the title by a massive 21 points, gaining 76 points out of a possible 78 !!!

Again two or three impressive signings for the forthcoming 2007/08 season, no doubt sees them as favourites to win a third successive promotion !
