Blue Lion Football club was founded in 2005 by a group of friends drinking in the blue lion pub.The first season in div 5 warrington was fun to say the least!!! Although we were continuously hammered every week we took it with a smile and always tried to bounce back the following week. (never seemed to bounce back though). Our second season was a huge improvement getting promotion to div 4. The third season was also an improvement and probably the start of what is a promising squad, with new players resulting in almost a complete new team!. Last year(our fourth season) we were narrorly pipped to 3rd place but due to re structure of the league we have again been promoted to div 3. This season (2010/11) we are looking again towards promotion to div 2 but we know it will be our toughest league yet, we remain hopeful. I would like to say a big thankyou to this seasons sponsors 'ID PLANT LTD' a successful plant hire company specializing in all heavy machinery from mini diggers to bull dozers!
