Club Details

Formed in 1901, Bosham were founder members of Division Three of the County League in 1983/84, finishing fourth in that inaugural season. The following season, the club finished runners-up to Oakwood, winning promotion to Division Two. To cap a very successful season, Bosham also won the Division Three League Cup.

Having won promotion in 1985/86, Bosham struggled in senior football, and were finally relegated back to Division Three at the end of the 1991/92 season. Two seasons later, they were promoted back again as champions. It was only a short resurgence however, as the following two seasons saw successive relegations back to the West Sussex Football League.

1998/99 proved to be a very successful season, winning the West Sussex Premier Division and returning once again to the County League. 1999/00 saw Bosham champions once again and return to senior football. Once again however, they found the jump in status a difficult one and were relegated once again back to Division Three.

Until 2006/07, which can only be described as miserable, the previous few seasons had shown some improvement, with the club appearing reasonably comfortable in Division Three after many up and down seasons; and in 2004/05, reaching the Final of the Sussex Intermediate Cup, where they were defeated by Rustington.

Season 2006/07 saw a repeat of four years earlier with Bosham again finishing bottom of the entire County League but spared relgation back to the West Sussex League due to a combination of only one eligible applicant for promotion, and the League also being already a club short. The club finished the season with just two victories and only nine points, 15 points adrift of Hurstpierpoint, the club immediately above them.

Bosham have since faired well in Div 3, the most recent successes came in the 2009/10 season where they were crowned league and cup double winners. The club finished 4th during the last campaign (2010/11).
