BS4 is a Church-based football club based in Bristol. Founded February 2007, the team plays in the Bristol Churches League Division 2.
The team was formed when original BS4 manager Vic Trykush and the Totterdown Baptist Church pastor Laurie Burn decided to start a football team having met a group of teenagers from the local youth club.
The team was named after the postcode address of Totterdown Baptist Church and the team's home ground.
BS4’s first ever game was played against Welstock Football Club and resulted in a 3-0 loss. This poor form continued on into the 2007/08 season in the Bristol Churches League Division 2, ending pointless and bottom of the table.
BS4's traditional kit colours are orange shirts, black shorts, black socks, and carries the sponsor of Totterdown Baptist Church.
For the 2008/09 season BS4 has appointed Ian Chappell as Manager. Jed Begley remains club captain. |
