Club Details

The History of Bustleholme F.C.

Bustleholme Football Club was first formed in 1975 by a group of Parents who were looking to form a team to give their lads a game of football.

Schools unfortunately did not take things to seriously and the parents were looking to get involved on a more organized basis.

From those days we have grown from one Under 12 team to a compliment of 25 teams including 4 girls teams.

We recently celebrated our 25 year for which, we are very proud. If anyone could have told us in that first year that we would still be in existence now we would not have believed them.

When we told no less a figure by the name of Ronnie Allen (he coached our first team thanks to parent friend) that we were thinking of running 3 teams the following season he advised us not to. There has not been a season when we haven gained an extra team + One of our proudest moments has been the inauguration of our Mini Soccer Academy, which started 6 years ago. We now involve boys and girls from 6 years of age in correct soccer training on a weekly basis throughout the year. Another landmark was the beginning of adult soccer in 1993.

Bustleholme Seniors now play in the West Midlands Premier League and Season 2009/2010 was our most successfull to date resulting in a top 4 finish and winning the League Cup Final beating AFC Wulfs 1-0.

2005 saw us celebrating our 30th year of existence, during which we held our BIGGEST EVER Football Festival which was held over two consecutive weekends in June and attracted over 250 teams.

January 2006 Bustleholme F.C received the F.A. Charter Standard Award, but are still pursuing our aim to achieve the highest level of the F.A STANDARD CHARTER.
