Champions Church FC was formed from the local church in Netherton and the Youth ministry assosiated with it (CYUK). It is a church that is 250 people strong and is very community based. The team was formed in May 2008 and embarked on its first season in Division 3 of the West Midlands Christian Football League. Pre Season was fairly impressive winning 8 out of 11 friendlies. We went onto win the division three title winning all but our last game and only drawing that to gain promotion to division 2 as champions. Division Two saw us again end the season as champions, 20 games and 16 wins saw us only drop the 10 points on the way to winning the league by 7 points. This year is the real test, with Division 1 coming up!! |
