Cramlington Town play in the Pin Point Recruitmemt Northern Football Alliance Premier Division.
Cramlington Town originally known as Shankhouse Blackwatch came into existance in 1999 when they joined The South East Northumberland League. Promotion was achieved in their first season coming runners up to Forest Hall.
The following season saw The Blackwatch being accepted into the ranks of The Northern Football Alliance, playing their football in Division Two.
Again Shankhouse continued to flourish with three awards coming their way at the end of season AGM. The runners up trophy was presented and promotion to the first division was achieved after only one season, the club were also presented with the fair play trophy having amassed only two points during the whole season (a record yet to be broken) and finally Steven Elsey was presented with the divisions leading goal scorer award.
Season 2001-2002 saw a name change to Cramlington Town and a struggle to survive in the first division, but the appointment of Shaun Russell as Manager turned the clubs fortunes around and relegation was avoided.
Season 2002-2003 saw Cramlington Town pick up it's first piece of silverware winning The NFA Minor Cup, Steven Elsey (2) David Heatley and Aubrey Rutherford gave the club a 4-2 win against a battling Newcastle B.T. Cramlingtons then lost on penalties to Team Northumbria in The Combination Cup Final..
Season 2003-2004 another cup final loosing The Senior Benevolent Bowl to Premier Division Percy Main in a disappointing game.
Seasons 2004-2005,2005-2006 saw mid table finishes
2006-2007 saw promotion to The Premier League under the Mangement of Michael Colligan a fantastic acievement.
2009-2010 has seen the Club join forces with Cramlington Cobras who have changed their name to Cramlington Town Jnrs, a new reserve team will playing in The Tyneside Am League and a new Management team of David Atkinson and Stuart Heppell have taken control of the First Team. Watch This Space |
