Dudley Sports FC History
Dudley Sports Football Club changed its name in 1979 from Marsh and Baxter’s following the closure of the company. However, people still refer to the club as the “The Old Marshes Club”.
From 1925 to the late 70’s the club just had two Saturday sides playing in the Birmingham Work’s League.
The club has progressed over the last 30 years and has added a Sunday side that play in the Kidderminster and district Premier League.
The club also run junior boy’s and girl’s teams ranging from under nines to fifteen.
The Club gained entry to the Midland Combination in 1984 and entered their reserve team two years later.
The club has made good progress in the last few years and following promotion to the Midland Com Premier division in 2002/3 remained there until 2005/6 when they moved to the West Midlands Premier Division, the club has recently upgraded the floodlights and just fell short of further promotion to the Midland Alliance in 2007/8.
