Club Details

Home ground: KING GEORGE Playing Fields - Top Wrec Adlington

FC Adlington Spinners was founded in the Summer of 2005 by K Hutchinson, S Taylor, J Hamilton and J King and entered directly into the Chorley Nissan Sunday League 1st Division. Back then, the team name was FC Bearcelona and played from the White Bear Pub.

The second season saw FC Bearcelona become FC Adlington, losing their home due to a hostile take over and where forced to share the Clayton Arms with arch rivals the Clayton Nomads, for half the season. FC Adlington settled down to a new home courtesy of the Top Spinners, and a new pitch on the King George IV Playing Fields, where new players were found and the club was reinvented.

During the past 4 years, FC Adlington has seen a number of managers come and go, with no-one being able to bring the success the club deserves. In th 08-09 season stability was found and the club advanced yet further towards the top of their league. They finished in there highest position of 4th place in the 09/10 season which was a great season for the club.

It is now the task of manager Kevin Hutchinson with assistance of Secretary Ryan Clavin.
