Club Details

The Franche Team reformed back in 2004 under new Management partnership of Ex-Player Andy Tustin and local entrepenuer Pete Longmore.

Starting in Division 6 they suffered a 4-2 defeat in their first competitive game , but went on to remain undefeated for the rest of the season.

This was followed up by winning Division 5 Comfortably thanks in most part to 42 goals in 27 games from Stu Payne.

After 2 succesive League titles FVC were shot up 2 divisions , to the 3rd. This jump in standard saw them finish midtable in 7th despite falling short of players for a long period.

Franche re-grouped and pulled in some new young players aswell as shifting some of the deadwood (stumpy) allowing them to gain promotion from the 3rd with a hard fought 4th place finish.

In 08/09 Franche won another League title , Taking the 2nd Division by 3 clear points over rivals Wollaston Sports . Savo top scoring with 32 goals.

This saw FVC start 09/10 season in the 1st division and continue where they left off last year , with a great campaign seeing them promoted once more after finishing 3rd. Ollie Smith notching 31 goals.

So after a steep climb , Franche had made it to the Prem and despite the obvious increase in standard of football , managed to hold their own , finishing in a mid table 9th Position , whilst also reaching 2 cup finals. Losing 2-0 in the League cup final , and 2-1 in the dieing seconds in the hospital cup final. Highlights included beating Premier Division Veterans Woodside and local rivals Wolverley , as well as the 5-4 cup semi final thriller against New Olympic.Webby had an excellent year scoring 32 goals.

The Franche teams home kit is Red and white striped shirts , Black shorts and Black socks , Their away kit , is Claret and blue ... , The goalkeeper wears his own rotten socks and a sky Blue top.

The Manager wears Lee Cooper shoes , a pair of jeans from TJ Hughes , Umbro T-shirt and a Denim Jacket with a generous helping of Brute perfume.
