Grahamston 98’s FC are part of Grahamston FC. Grahamston FC are a Community Youth Football Club founded in 1977 and based at Dawson Park, Bainsford, Falkirk.
The 98s have been together as a team since 2008 and play in the Central Scotland Football Association League.
Some of the existing team have graduated from Grahamston Football Academy where children as young as 6 (known affectionately as the WeeGees) are taught basis football skills. As the kids grow older there are three 7 aside teams at age groups U10, U11 and U12. The aim of the Academy is develop the kids, first focusing on skills then uncompetitive 7 aside ready for competitive 11 aside at U13 level.
It is Grahamston's target to have teams at all age groups from U13 to U19. Presently we have 4 teams U13s, U14s, U15s and U16s.
Training for the 98’s takes place twice a week with games on Saturday mornings.
The team colours are blue and yellow strips when playing at home and blue and red and stripes for away games. |
