The Hafod Rangers were established and registered in 2005 by Paul Patiniotis, Richard Churchill and Christopher Haines. The aim was to have fun, play good football and spend time with our mates.
Audrey and Brian Fermandel of the Hafod Inn welcomed us into the pub and kindly paid our entrance fees so we could enter into the Swansea Senior League Division 4 for the 2005/06 season. We quickly set our foundations for the future, designed our club badge, found ourselves a club sponsor and bought our first team kit in Sky Blue.
The Rangers spent 4 seasons in Division 4 slowly growing and improving as a club. We attracted a new club sponsor in the form of PSM, signed new and better players, changed the club colours and Kit to Royal Blue and Yellow and we were duly rewarded with our first ever Promotion to Division 3 at the end of the 2008/09 season.
Our first and only season in Division 3 (2009/10) also proved to be a success as we won back to back promotions allowing us to play in Division 2 for the 2010/2011 season. However our stay was short lived as we were relegated on the final day of the season and return back to the third division for the 2011/2012 campaign.
The 2010/11 season also saw the introduction of the first ever Hafod Rangers reserve team. This debut season was extremely successful with the team gaining promotion from a 3rd place finish and also finished runners-up in the Minor cup.
The club is still based and Run from the Hafod Inn Pub and our home ground is Paradise Park for the 1st team and Mynydd Newydd for the 2nd. We are also proud to announce that PSM are still our Main Club sponsors..
The committee however has changed slightly from the early days. The club is currently run and managed by:
