Langwathby United were formed in the 2007 and entered the Westmorland League Division 4 in the 2007/08 season.
Langwathby United will play in the Westmorland League Division 2 in the 2011/12 season, This will be the third season in this Division after getting promoted from Division 3 in the 2010/11 season.
The club also had a reserve team that was formed in the 2008/09 season and they play in the Westmorland League Division 3 after their promotion from Division 4 last season. Unfortunately due to a lack of players the reserves have had to withdraw from the league this season, hopefully if number increase then a Reserve side can be raised again for next season.
The club play their home games at The Tollbar Field which can be found next to the A686
For the 2011/12 season Langwathby United are sponsered by The Stoneybeck Inn who sponser both the home and away kits, this is the 3rd season that we have been sponsered by them.
The club are also very greatful to The Edenhall Country Hotel who provide the club with a place to go back to after home games and they provide food for both teams. |
