Leabridge Rangers was formed as a youth team in 1989 under the wing of Leyton FC. The team brought through many players who went on to represent the senior team as well as other non-league clubs.
In 1996 they joined the Forest District Senior league + in 4 seasons had jumped 6 divisions winning divisional titles + cups along the way culminating in a premier division triumph in 2001. By this time the club was regularly competing in the Essex, London County cups along with the prestigious FA National Cup. In addition to this 8 players were capped at county level by Essex and London, helping both win inter-county championships in recent years.
The Club has gone from strength to strength over the past 8 season, following the merge with Kings Park FC. Kings park origins lay firmly in the Independent Sunday League (ISL)
With the current management structure in place and a combination of strong personnel, Leabridge has proved a huge success with the club now firmly back on the map winning the Division 1 title 6 times in 8 seasons, reaching the Essex county cup in the first season and winning most league cup competions. Leabridge also has a firm belief in giving young local players the platform to play in a team that has a firm moral code, whilst giving these players the freedom to enjoy the local football on offer. |
