Home ground: Bebbington Oval "The origin's of the Lever Athletic F.C. go back to 2007 when Ken Walklett was approached by West Cheshire club Newton F.C. to form a reserve side.Along with Steve Leftly they put together a team with an average age of 18 and entered the 2nd division of the Chester and District Football League.
At the end of their first season they finished a creditable 5th.
The 2008-2009 season saw the team finish runners-up and gain promotion to division 1.At the end of the season Newton withdraw their sponsorship of the team.
At the start of the 2009-2010 season the club had new sponsors and played under the name Netherton Snooker Club and moved to their present ground at the Bebington Oval. The team finished 5th in the league and also pick up their first piece of silverware This came in the form of The Northern Cup at our 1st time of entry.As well as winning the cup they were named team of the year by the Chester and District league.
At the start of the 2010-2011 the team moved to it's present home at the Lever Club Port Sunlight under their new name Lever Athletic F.C. The team finished 3rd.in the division and were promoted to the Premier Division as the league champion's resigned."
