Shardlow St James (Formerly Long Eaton Oasis) plays in the Derby Church League and are in their 12th year (Confirmed after some research!!)
Shardlow had their most successful season ever in 2010/11, winning the DCL’s first ever treble, with the league, league and knockout Cup trophies under the guidance of former manager Barry Kent. Following the retirement of Barry Kent as manager at the close of last season, the club were pleased to announce that John Dilnot had replaced Barry at the helm after extensive negotiations! John’s football experience alongside his coaching expertise (To UEFA – B License standard) will be a major asset in our push to progress the club.
With the records of having reached all semi finals in the last 3 years, 3 finals from 6 and 2 wins from 6, plus having been a top four side for the last 3 years, John has a challenge on his hands to maintain this proud tradition and has expressed his excitement at the prospect.
Shardlow are also proud to announce that they have formerly joined with Shardlow St James FC and will represent the Saturday branch of this outfit. This means they continue to have the use of St James Park in Shardlow as their home pitch. |
