The Manston Hotel second team was formed in 1994. The Manston second team reached four finals in three years and was successful on two attempts. The Manston first team disbanded in 2001 to much disappointment! After all that the Manston second team renamed themselves as the Manston wanderers and joined the Nicholas green Sunday league which they went on to win the first division title in there first year. Then the league changed its name to the work-ink .com league where the Manston spent five years in the top flight achieving nothing much but relegation battles! In the 2006 to 2007 season the league changed its name once again and called it the Leeds Sunday alliance league which for the Manston was another disappointing season only good thing to come out of it was the knowing that we was joining a new league. The Leeds combination league which means a fresh start! New Season fresh start, In the 2007 to 2008 season we saw a great change in the Manston and I don't just mean the decoration of the place, I mean the football team. This season we welcomed a few new players and a new manager (Steve needed the help), Which id say personally that it has strengthened the squad for the best. I would like to Congratulate every player who took part in the 07 to 08 season for giving such great performances. It has been a long time since Manston wanderers brought back some silver wear!! So I am glad to say that we won the Leeds combination division 2 league. season 08 to 09 wasnt a great year for the manston as we didnt win any trophys but we are hoping that this wiil change as the new season approaches.Good luck to all.
