Formed in 2005/6 season, Mythop Leisure FC ply their trade in the Blackpool + Fylde Sunday Alliance.
After 2 successive promotions, Mythop finished a respectable fifth in Division 2B in the 2007/08 season.
After a "stop-start" season in 2A in 2008/09 and a disappointing 8th placed finish, Mythop had their best season to date in 2009-10. Having lost their opening 3 matches, Mythop went on an amazing run of 14 wins and a draw in 16 matches to lead the table with 3 games remaining. The boys ended up finishing 3rd, a point behind winners West Coast Tackle and trailing runners up Great Eccleston by goal difference only.
In 2010-11 Mythop finished a respectable 7th in an extremely competitive Division 1, and this was enough to secure promotion to a newly restructured Premier Division in 2011-12.
The club were awarded FA Charter Status in May 2010, the only club in the BFSFA to do so. |
