MOORLAND UNITED FC play in the Chiswick + District Sunday Football League. Founded in 1968 they play their home games at Broom Road Rec next to Teddington School on Broom Road in Teddington. Traditionally play in Yellow shirts, Black shorts + socks. The founder of the club was a Manchester United fan and wanted his team to have the initials MUFC.
Dave Stuckey is the longest serving member, entering his 14th season in 2011/12 and although still a player is now also the Manager of the club.
Phil Walker, also a long serving member has the role of Secretary and also takes care of 'everything else' a club needs to survive. If it were not for Phil this club would not still exist. |
