History

North Shields Juniors Girls Section was formed in 2002, after identifying a need for structured Coaching for Girls in North Shields. Some Clubs had and still do offer mixed sides (up to U11), but it was believed that demand was great enough to justify it's independent existence. In conjunction with this, the Club began it's drive to be one of the first in the area to achieve the coveted F.A. Charter Standard mark and forged a strong partnership with John Spence Community Sports College.

2003-2004

At first all that was offered was a structured Coaching facility as the Club did not have enough Girls at a "set" age group, but in September 2003, North Shields Girls fielded their first competitive squad, U12's in the Tyne Tees Youth Girls League.

The first match was against a well drilled Lumley Ladies team, which resulted in a resounding 23 - 0 defeat, the following game against Middlesborough Academy an 18 - 0 defeat. Against all the odds that season, after a mid season League split, North Shields Junior Girls U12 won the Second Division Championship and finished Runners up to Lumley 3 - 1 in the Cup Final.

2004-2005

The Team competed on two fronts, finishing Runners Up to Lumley again in the Cup and Winning the NFA League.

2005-2006

Saw the dawning of the full size game to North Shields Girls, playing in the Tyne Tees Girls Youth League, taking to it like a duck to water the Team finished second in the League, Won the Cup, the Cup Winners Cup and also the Fair Play Trophy

2006-2007 Playing in the Tyne Tees Girls Youth League U16 Runners Up in the League and NW Cup, Winners of the Presidents Cup

2007-2008 Playing in the NFA U16 League
