Home ground: Grove Farm (when the County Ground is already in use) Nottingham Medics 2nds are a team steeped in heritage and history, yet are full of fresh enthusiasm and bold ambition to smash club records and challenge for honours.
Having played for many seasons in the Nottingham University Inter-Mural Leagues with incresing success, the club embarked on a new challenge and joined the F.A EMPAL league in season 07/08.
Having joined in division four, the club fought it's way up through the divisions and now sits proudly in EMPAL Division 2.
The club also competes in the NAMS tournament and regularly challenges for the title of Best 2nd Team.
Attempting to play an attractive brand of fluid passing football, and believed to be the inspiration behind Arsene Wenger's footballing ideologies, the club is structured for success.
The team plays its home games at the footballing fortress known as grove farm and dares its opposition to master the conditions and rise victorious, a feat they rarely achieve.
The club enjoys a friendly rivalry with NUMFC 1st XI, built on respect and a long history of transfers between the two clubs. The 2s often beating the 1s at banter, nights out and tour.
The current captain is Ben Collis, a once semi-pro goalkeeper. Some have likened him to Schmeichel, others Taibi. Fans have eager expectations for the 2011/2012 season and it remains to be seen if Ben's boys can write their name in NUMFC folklore.
