Parbold FC are the current South Lancashire Division 3 Champions, after a record breaking season in 2005/06.
The Cherries marched away with three trophies last season after securing the league title and manager George Lupton walked away with two awards, the first for manager of the year, and the second was for his services to football, culminating in him becoming the inaugral member of the South Lancashire Hall of Fame.
Parbold began life in 1994 and have played their home games at Alder Lane since this time. The club have been managed by George Lupton for this period, and his right hand man Billy Bristow has been a long term servant on and off the pitch.
Parbold briefly ceased to run in 2002/03 season due to playing staff shortages, but came back in the 2003/04 season with plenty of the regulars that had played earlier in the clubs history.
The clubs overall record goalscorer is Jason Heeley with 68 goals, having achieved this feat against Golborne Parkside on 22nd April 2007. This has been achieved in just under three full seasons at the Cherries and his record speaks volumes for the man who has an eye for goal.
