Peggy Gadflys play in the Wirral Sunday League Division 1 and were formally known as Farmers Arms Frankby and previously Sandridge.
Under their former name Sandridge they finished 13th in 05/06 and 11th in 06/07 before an excellent 4th place finish in 07/08. In 08/09 season The Sandridge FC became Farmers Arms Frankby FC from where they had an execllent season finishing 4th missing out of promotion by 1 point.
The summer of 2009 has brought yet another change. The club are now based back in New Brighton with the backing of Peggy Gadflys. And in their 1st season (09/10) under this guise, Peggys were promoted to Division 1 on the back of a 4th place league finish.
The club play their home games at Coronation Park, Greasby and once again look forward to some great support as they enter Division 1 for the 1st time! |
