Club Details

Home ground: Stamper Crescent

Rifle Volunteer play in the Mansfield + District Sunday League, Division 1. They were originally formed in 1991 as Evans Halshaw F.C and played in the Alfreton and District Sunday Afternoon League due to the limited avalability in the Mansfield + District Sunday League. The 1st ever ball kicked was by Symon Orton. The following year they were allowed to play in the Mansfield Chad League Division 10, and have played in this league ever since. Although under a different club name, some of the original personel still remain. The clubs all time top Goalscorer is Steve Marriott with 223 goals. The 2009-2010 season the club wiped the slate clean and signed some new players, which resulted in finishing 2nd in Division Five and gaining promotion to Division 3. Last season we signed some young fresh faces and hit the ground running, playing some exceptional football which was shown in our results and proved us as the team to beat for that season. Finally finishing the season 3rd division champions, Semi Finalists in the Stamper Cup + League Cup Runners up. Now the club and players have great expectations to consolidate ourselves as one of the top teams around this area this season.
