Club Details

Home ground: Barn Elms, Barnes, London

After their dramatic promotion on the last day of the 08/09 season, F.C. Sporting Prowess are now a Premiership team. They play in the League of Gentlemen in Barnes on Sunday afternoons.

The team have rivalries with Dynamo Smorgasbord and AFC Fiorentina-Turner, in addition to The Duggers, although the latter play in the league below as penance for their ineptitude. They also have a lasting hatred of Nick Sydney-Smith, who after top-scoring for the team last season, sold them out and joined Dynamo Smorgasbord in a career move reminiscent of the Ashley Cole transfer to Chelsea.

The 2009/2010 season was an eventful one for the club, who led the Premiership until a run of three defeats in March ended their challenge. A 3-2 victory over Smorgasbord in May secured 3rd place and some bragging rights for the time being.

The 2010/2011 season was a less eventful affair, as a promising start faded into mid-table obscurity after some heavy defeats at the hands of the unbelievably dull Oxbridge Old Boys teams. The season ended on a high note however as a 2-1 victory in the Classico against Smorgasbord helped lift the club into a 5th place finish.

In a move masterminded by the team's extensive marketing department, Sporting Prowess will be going back to their roots and wearing Barcelona colours for the 2011/12 season.
