The club was founded in 2004 by a group of friends who drank in The Sportsman at Thorpe Hesley, in the opening season the club found life hard and finished 12th in Rotherham + District Sunday League division nine but in the following years the young team developed into a fine group of players which gained many promotions and as a highligh in the 2007/2008 season after promotions and also the league moving the club up it was in division 2 where it would spend the next 3 years getting a very respectable 7th in the first season, 3rd in their second season and finally in 2009/2010 the club were runners up. In the of off season many of the talented players were picked up by premier league and division one clubs and the club had to fold but through the off season a new group were assembled to represent the club and the team reformed in division eight where in our opening season attained third position in the league. |
