Upminster Raiders were formed in 2006. The boys all play for Upminster rugby club on a sunday. We joined the Chelmsford Youth Football League as this allows the boys to play football on a Saturday and rugby on a Sunday.
Our home pitch is Upminster Rec.
Coach K is an FA level 2 coach, and the club are hoping to achieve charter standard. Our first kit was a green and white nationwide kit which we borrowed from UBC FC. Mark got us a great sponsorship deal and we now play in a prostar blue with yellow trim kit.
We entered a few summer tournaments and were reasonably successful, but it's not all about winning the club tries to promote good sportsmanship and excellent behaviour on and off the pitch.
The boys are encouraged to pass and move and learn good footballing habits at an early age.
