Welcome to the Official Club Website for Vigilant Football Club.
Vigilant FC play in the South Shields Sunday Football League, and we will play in the B Division in 2011/12. The League is well established and highly respected in the North East of England, and was formed in 1947. The League is commonly referred to as the South Shields Sunday Morning League. Our Club are also commonly known as ‘The Vig’.
If you want to come along and watch any of our games, we play our home games at Quarry Lane, South Shields (nearest postcode is NE34 7NL) – playing on Quarry Lane pitch 2 (top part of Cleadon Park). All games on Sundays kick off at 10:30am, and any matches played in midweek start at 6:15pm and are normally played on a Tuesday evening. Anyone wishing to come along and cheer on the team are more than welcome, and we will very much appreciate your support!
Our Official Clubs sponsors, from whom we take our name, are the Vigilant pub - which is found on Sunderland Road, Harton Village, South Shields. Everyone associated with the Club would like to thank them for their help and continued support.
Our Club colours for season 2011/12 are red/black stripes, and our change set of kit is green/white/black.. |
