waterintobeer FC play in the Leeds Sunday League second division. in the winter of 2004 after a (drunken) conversation in the Nags Head Public House, Chappel Allerton, Leeds the team was conceived and a few months later we were ready to start our first season. Our first season in division 3 saw us finish 7th out of 10 and (somehow) get promoted to division 2 after some re-arranging by the league commitee. We still have the same squad as last season sticking to our principles that this is a team run by friends for friends. the strangers we met last year are now very much regarded as good friends and socialising is just an important part to our football team as the winning. (which is important as we don't really win much) |
