Club Details

waterintobeer FC play in the Leeds Sunday League second division. in the winter of 2004 after a (drunken) conversation in the Nags Head Public House, Chappel Allerton, Leeds the team was conceived and a few months later we were ready to start our first season. Our first season in division 3 saw us finish 7th out of 10 and (somehow) get promoted to division 2 after some re-arranging by the league commitee. In our second season we vastly improved and finished 10th and secured safety in division 2. We still have pretty much the same squad as the last two seasons sticking to our principles that this is a team run by friends for friends. the strangers we've met over the last two years are now very much regarded as good friends and socialising is just an important part to our football team as the winning. (which is important as we don't really win much). Whisper it quietly but there is a confidence within members of the team that we can actually do pretty well this season, our third as a proud member of Leeds Sunday League.
