Southside Wildcats FC play in the Stroud and District Youth League (U16), Division Two. We joined from the Cheltenham Youth League in season 2010/11.
We were formed in 2005 with a mixture of players drawn from the Southside Lions and Southside Tigers teams, plus 1 or 2 newcomers. Our philosophy then was football for everyone, with the emphasis very much on enjoyment and we have stayed true to those beliefs.
Oue efforts have been recognised by our fellow league members, as the Wildcats were voted the most sporting team in the division for season 2005/06, 2006/7 and 2007/8.
Indeed the Wildcats were also awarded the Gloucestershire FA's Fair Play award in 2007, thus winning County honours, the first side in the Southside organisation of 22 youth and men's teams to be given such an award! |
