Wrekin 'Red Lion' FC have been confirmed as remaining in the Telford Sunday League Premier Division for the season 2009-10, marking a remarkable rise from the foot of the Telford Sunday League to the summit in just 6 years, proving that it can be done and not all teams need favours from the TSL by going straight in at the top.
Formed in the summer of 2002 by Harry Jones (Jnr) and Nathan Davies, Wrekin still have some players that played in that very first season. Current manager Harry Jones (Snr) took over half way through that first season, joined by assistant manager JJ at the beginning of our second season.
On the pitch Wrekin have been promoted up 6 leagues in it's first 6 years of existance and are hoping this season will become a season of consolidation, playing against some of the 'Big Boys' in the Prem.
