Fortius quo fidelius: Strength through loyalty
Formed in 2001 the first gathering of the team on record was on Clapham Common on a cold December Sunday afternoon. The first official match was played on 17th February 2002 against Darkside.
The first full season was 02-03 and Wessex were promoted to division 1 at the end of the 06-07 season after finishing 3rd, 2 points from clinching the title. Since formation the club have been under the tenure of Evans (02-04) and Breach (04-09). The club finished 3rd (06-07), 5th twice (02-03 and 03-04) and 4th once (04-05) reaching the Ron Le Beau Challenge Trophy semi final in 2005. The 07-08 campaign saw the club finish second botom but survived relegation and then the 08-09 season saw a strong start go to waste and eventually finish 3rd bottom. Matt Burgess takes over for 09-10.
The 2006-07 season was the debut season for the 2XI. However relegation from division 4 followed. They started the 2007-08 season under the tenure of Matt Paton in division 5, finishing 5th and the following sason Rob Manning took charge fnishing 5th also. Dave Miller leads the sides in 09-10.
