Wessex Rangers play in the SSSFL Division 4. Formed in 2001 the first gathering of the team on record was on Clapham Common on a cold December Sunday afternoon. The first official match was played on 17th February 2002 against Darkside.

The 2006-07 season was the debut season for the 2XI. However relegation from division 4 followed. They started the 2007-08 season under the tenure of Matt Paton in division 5, finishing 5th. A new manager awaits after Paton stood down after 2 seasons in charge with Rob Manning now taking over.
