News item11 Dec 2011 - 100% IMPROVMENT

Click here for further information on Mark Belcher
Mark Belcher
After my "moan" last week i think it only right that the lads should get some praise, firstly it was great to have Jake back and we knew Sarge would make a difference,so as Andy shuffled the pack from last week we went into the game with optomism even though we were playing bottom of the league you can only beat whats in front of you,to give the lads credit we conceded 7 last week and should've had a clean sheet this week..to be fair Matty almost had their goal so thats all we can ask for..once we get a settled team week in week out we'll see an improvment i have no doubt of that, for this we need to be fit, prepare right and keep our discipline to put the same team out as often as possible....we have to remember this is a young team and as we've said a few times there aint a quick fix so stick at it lads, the buzz in the dressing room today was superb and if you stick together and work for each other like i said last week you'll have a chance.

Click here for further information on Andy Whitehouse
Andy Whitehouse
A superb 2-1 away win at Wolves Sporting gave the B's a welcome 3 points on Tuesday night, but speaking to Andy after the game the most pleasing thing for him wasn't the 3 points but the football that was played in the way the lads are being coached, it proves that Andy looks beyond the "win at all costs" mentality that seems to be the norm at every level of football...well done lads keep it going.

Following the capture of keeper Ben Hickman, the B's have signed two more former Bustleholme players, firstly i have to say its great to have big Wayne Richardson back on board, i bumped into Wayne Saturday morning at Mini-Soccer when he bought his son little Tommy, Wayne is Bustleholme through and through so its great to have him back..the other former player returning is Mike Dixon, its great to have Mikey back and i'm sure it wont be long before he's giving the opposition defences a torrid time....welcome back lads.

News item17 Nov 2011 - ARTICLE IN THIS WEEKS CHRONICLE

Click here for further information on Mark Belcher
Mark Belcher
As i'm sure most have you have read in this weeks Chronicle newspaper an article by Tim Spiers on the plight of our 1st team...just has the results have picked up we get a kick in the teeth of how money is ruling the game even at West Midland League level, we are in desperate need of a major cash injection to keep the team going, and as long as i've got breath in me i'll make sure it does, after speaking to one of the men who started this great club Ray Coley the other night we agreed that sureley there are people who have played or their kids have played for the B's who could help, he also told me in the early 2000's over 6,000 players had gone through the club...and how many since? in fact if each one donated £1 we could keep the team going for another couple of years so you can understand the level of financial support we need...and plenty now have their own companies so if 5 donated £500 each to "charity" that £2,500 would be invaluable to us,for this you would get programme and pitchside advertising,it may sound like desperation and indeed it is, we need a 1st team so our kids have something to aim for ,there are hundreds of local junior teams but how many can boast to having a 1st team? in fact 12 of the current squad have come through our junior teams so we must be doing something right, the parents from our current junior teams work hard raising money for their teams so yes this is a plea to anyone with Bustleholme connections from the past...basiclly YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

News item16 Nov 2011 - BRILLIANT TEAM DISPLAY

Click here for further information on Lewis Haycock
Lewis Haycock
Wednesday night's win against Shifnal was a pleasure to watch, you could see the confidence in the young lads knowing that with experienced players like Jake,Sarge and Spenna in the team they have a chance against any team, one thing we had as well thats avoided us all season was a bit of luck, our goalmouth lead a charmed life early on as we cleared off the line on 3 occasions...but to be fair its good defending because thats what they're there for, a mention as well for our loan signing Lewis Haycock who never put a foot wrong all night, Danny Bell was excellent and Clewsie worked his socks off...and Budgie's free kick was top drawer...all in all it was a great team display, but we move on now with 4 hard games before the end of the month, but at this level they're all hard games.

Click here for further information on Neil Page
Neil Page
Apart from losing Saturday at Shifnal it was also a sad day for Bustleholme as long serving keeper Neil Page decided to move on, Pagey signed for the B's back in 1999 and has seen plenty of ups and down's on the way, he makes the short journey to our landlords Tipton Town, credit to the lad as he could've walked away in the Summer but he gave his all and said to me Saturday he may never get this chance again, so on behalf of everyone at Bustleholme i'd like to wish Pagey all the best for the future and the Bustleholme door is always open.

Click here for further information on Tom Jeavons
Tom Jeavons
In the midweek victory against Earlswood Town it has to be said the youngsters in the team did themselves no harm for the rest of the season, in fact there were 8 players in the squad that night that have come through our junior teams which proves the system we have here at Bustleholme works, youngsters Tom Jeavons and Ishmail Harris travelled all the way to Bromyard Saturday and didn't feature but didn't complain and both played 90 Mins Wednesday and did superb, the average age for the Cup game was 21 which also means the future is looking good,it was also good to see Dolly back giving Andy a hand following Craig's departure..we move on to Saturdays game with confidence as we look for 3 welcome points against Dudley Town.

Click here for further information on Mark Belcher
Mark Belcher
Following Tuesdays defeat it was nice to have some complementary comments, firstly from opposition Manager Ian Rowe,Rowey is one of the most experienced Managers at our level and his opinion really counts to our rookie Management team of Andy and Craig,he praised the way the team stuck to their guns and still tried to play football the right way, secondly the Referee came in to our dressing room and said it was a pleasure to ref a game with no bookings and played in the right spirit, after over 30 years of being involved in football i cant recall it ever happening......apart from when i coached our under 8's!!! this should give the lads a bit of beleif going into Saturdays game at Bromyard.

News item8 Oct 2011 - B's GO DOWN AT DUDLEY

Click here for further information on Neil Page
Neil Page
The B's went down 2-1 to Dudley Town on Wednesday night in a lack lustre performance...Dudley seemed to be first to every ball and seemed to want it more, but this is a young team and the lads shouldn't beat themselves up in defeat, its the only way to learn and i for one have every faith in what Andy and Craig are trying to do a special mention to keeper and skipper Neil Page who without yet another outstanding display the scoreline could have been worse, but Pagey knows how to get a defeat out his head and the younger lads can learn a lot from his excellent attitude...so dust yourselves down and we'll move on to Malvern at Home Saturday.

I dont like negatives even after a defeat but last night i was lost for words...Dudley Sports were playing their 6th League game and picked up their first 3 points of the season..you do the maths ,and WE made them look like Brazil..i wish i was 20 years younger and i'd have a go myself, the lads work hard in training but its time to stand up and be counted where it matters...matchday...one more thing..the scores out of 10 are my opinion alone, nothing to do with Andy and Craig.

Bustleholme's FA Cup experience was a short lived one after yet another defeat by the odd goal...i wasn't at the game but from what i've been told we once again didn't have the rub of the green, even the best teams in the world will tell you need a good slice of luck in this game but i'm sure if the lads keep plugging away and we get some of the injured players back we'll soon get back to winning ways....oh and by the way the less said about my trip to Goodison Park the better...especially the result.

News item16 Aug 2011 - MIDWEEK DEFEAT FOR B's

Click here for further information on Daniel Stanton
Daniel Stanton
Bustleholme were unfortunate to suffer their 3rd defeat in a week by going down 3-1 to Black Country Rangers...in the early stages some of the football played was superb and we were only inches away with some of the one touch stuff.....a special mention for young Danny Stanton who covered every blade of grass tonight, Stanna has bided his time on the bench and took his chance well tonight, he also had to play in 3 different positions and was excellent in all 3...also a mention for Howard Baker who's throughball for Seb's goal was inch perfect, with players like Clewsie,Matty Simmons and Tom Seaman missing like i said Andy and Craig dont do excuses but we've now lost 3 centre backs after Jimmy Dale hobbled off and also losing Keeper Pagey with a heel injury means we are down to the bare bones for Saturday's FA Cup game but i know whoever takes the field on Saturday will give their all for the Yellow shirt.

Bustleholme suffered a second defeat by the odd goal in 3 days after going down 1-0 to Malvern in the first home game of the season...putting the game into perspective we were missing both experienced central defenders Dain Hill and Jake Foster, Tom Seaman travelled back from holiday in Cornwall just for todays game and both Connor Scott and new signing Jimmy Dale have'nt played a game for weeks... i know and the lads know Andy and Craig dont do excuses but i think those factors played a big part in todays game...but todays game has gone and we move on to Tuesdays game v Black Country Rangers.

Click here for further information on Chris Norton

Saturday's display was a 100% improvment for the B's....somehow the lads found themselves 2-0 down, firstly to a deflected goal and then a lack of concentration meant Shifnal doubled their lead, but instead of rolling over the lads rolled up their sleeves, just before the break Budgie's free kick left Shifnal's keeper with no chance, and the move for Clewsie's goal was superb, and the finish was top drawer, an hand ball in the lead up to their 3rd goal was missed by the officials but everyone else in the ground saw it!!...the 4th goal just killed the game but it was a great effort, once our luck changes i'm certain the wins will follow, there was a great spirit in the dressing room before and after the game so its only a matter of time before we pull away from danger.

Manager Karl Dolman has resigned from his position as 1st team manager,he asked me to thank everyone he's worked with over the last 2 years...when he took the role with Neil Perks they had a 3 year plan to get promotion from the WMRL, now with players moving on and the lack of commitment and belief from the players towards the end of last season Dolly feels its time for a change at the helm, also with the health problems his wife Bev suffered last year he realises that time is precious and he couldn't commit to giving 100%, i'd like to thank Dolly for asking me to come onboard with the 1st team in the first place and on behalf of everyone at Bustleholme thank him for the time and effort he has put in over the last 2 years...Andy Whitehouse and Craig Seaman will continue to run the team.

News item11 Jun 2011 - AN HONEST OPINION

Click here for further information on Mark Belcher

I know Andy likes me to be as positive as possible but i think it's time to wake up and smell the coffee for a lot of our players....at the end of the Cradley game Geoff asked me what i would write on the website, i told him no idea and he told me to be honest....well i might get a slapped wrist but here goes...the lads who turned up yesterday(12 out of a squad of 30) were told "thanks for their efforts" but i know they dont need me to tell them their heads dropped too easy and our poor passing gave Cradley at least 3 of the goals....but in the 3 years i've been helping with the 1st team i've never seen 2 players arguing like cat and dog instead of looking at their own game..one word EMBARRASING..people work hard off the pitch to make this work and i beleive certain players need to look at themselves, at this level you dont pick and choose when you turn up the Manager does, if you want beer belly football find a beer belly team...my 12 year old son works his balls off Saturdays just making tea for people, and while i'm "biggin him up" i myself turn up at 12 after going to work, sometimes getting the nets up and sorting the kit etc...nearly 6 hours later i'm taking a card off then its home to do report for 2 newspapers and 2 websites, while the lads are on the ale i'm still working after kicking next door's cat, and thats just me personally, i know Geoff,Andy and the committe are still doing their bit as well, the morale of this story is give 100% in everything you do at this club and you've got a chance....rant over!!

The B's kicked off the new season with an emphatic 4-0 away win at Darlaston, i have to say because of the youthful squad Craig and Andy have assembled in my opinion the opposition underestimated the boys in what turned out to be a comfortable win, some of the football played today was superb, but even though we always looked comfortable the stand out performances were from central defensive pair Dain Hill and Jake Foster...in fact Jake is the best central defender in the league(once again in my opinion)...great start lads, keep it up.

On a day that started with a nightmare journey due to a motorway accident you just knew it was going to be one of those days...already missing players with the quality of Dain Hill,Jake Foster,Connor Scott and Jimmy Dale the job in hand was going to be tough one in fact for one reason or another we had 11 players out..but the first half display was our best display since the first game of the season, you have to say the pitch was in superb condition and you could tell that by the quality of our football, after a great move down the right hand side Clewsie finished well from close range...but 2nd half we relied on some great saves from Pagey and seemed to lose our shape and discipline, both goals came from originally giving the ball away too cheaply and as i've said before every mistake is getting punished...that said on the positive side in parts we looked really good and we can take heart from this and move on to next week's game away to Wellington....once again in Herefordshire!!!....(can't believe i haven't mentioned the ref)
