News item24 Aug 2011 - Swifts come back with a bang

Swifts played a strong Arbroath FC side at the Riverside on Monday night and things didn't look good when a Gavin Swankie double left Swifts hanging on. However as the game wore on Swifts came more and more into the game and a Robbie Holden double with a Jamie McKenzie strike in between gave Swifts a good win.

News item14 Aug 2011 - Swifts 2 St Andrews 2

Swifts more than matched their much vaunted superleague opponents in an excellent first half. They actually went into a 2 goal lead with goals from Anderson and Ross only to lose a goal on the stroke of half time to a well taken free kick. Swifts could have no complaints with the award but felt that McManus had been fouled just previous to this which the referee did not give. Saints came out all guns blazing and scored early on in the second half and for a long period took control however it was Swifts in the last 10 minutes that could and perhaps should have won the game with many chances to kill off the tie.

News item8 Jun 2011 - Swifts falter at Kirkcaldy

After a first class performance against Thornton, Swifts came crashing down to earth with a below par effort at Kirkcaldy. Swifts probably had the better of the first half but still went in a goal down at the interval. Some awful defending in the first 15 minutes of the second half by Swifts ended this game as a contest and to be fair Swifts never really looked like scoring.
