CLUB DETAILS
Christ Church Beckenham's football team originated in the late 1970s and in 1980 they joined the newly-formed Bromley Christian League (Now the Bromley and Croydon Christian League, or BCCL for short). They are one of only two teams from those early days still taking part today.

The team has enjoyed great success over the years in both the league and it's cup competition. The team won Division 2 in 1989/90 and the following season won Division 1 at the first attempt. Cup wins followed in 1993 and 1995 to make up for three previous defeats in the final.

The team's stay in the top division of the league ended in 1999 with relegation. Within two seasons a further relegation left the side in Division 3, where they have remained since, enjoying the taking part even if wins are rare!

The BCCL is an FA-affiliated league for church-based sides in the local area. There is a great emphasis on fair play. Players do not have to be church-goers but all players respect the Christian aspect of the league, which (most of the time!) leads to enjoyable football for players, officials and spectators alike.
