CLUB DETAILS
Formed in 1921 as South Nottingham FC and using Victoria Embankment (near to Trent Bridge) as their home venue, we are one of the oldest established clubs in the Midland Amateur Alliance.

In 1987, with basically a whole new team and set up after links with the University were formed, the club name was changed to Nottingham University Post Grads and the University football pitches were used as the new home venue. At this point (season 87/88) we were situated in the M.A.A old Division 4. 1987 is the year we officially recognise as the start of the club as it is today.

After steady progression through the divisions, in season 96/97 we were playing in the old Division 1. That season Nottingham University Post Grads FC finished 4th out of 13 and we were moved up to the Premier Division for season 97/98.

Coinciding with our promotion to the top divison, Nottingham University Post Grads FC changed their name to PKF Steelers FC. This was mainly due to one of the players obtaining a club sponsorship from his company (PKF). The Steelers name came from some of the players hailing from Sheffield and it's very difficult coming up with team names! This is where we've stayed ever since, hovering above the relegation zone, sometimes threatening mid-table and reaching the dizzy heights of 5th last season!

Our pre-fix changed in season 00/01 to Squareform, as a player who owned the company took over sponsorship from PKF. In season 02/03 we moved our home fixtures to Highfields.

Finally, after the sponsorship ended from Squareform Ltd and even though Experian have kindly contributed to the club for the past two seasons, we decided to drop the pre-fix and just become Steelers FC.

Steelers FC – Home Ground + Kit Colours

We play at Highfields, University Boulevard, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 2GJ

It’s the complex next to the Tennis Centre (not the Highfields run by the University)

We have 3 kits – All White, All Red and All Royal Blue
